Tuition-Free College Courses (MCCS)
Maine Community College System and Adult Education Early Access College Opportunity

Maine adults seeking to pursue College have a new option to jumpstart their education. The Maine Community College System (MCCS) and the Maine Department of Education (DOE) are offering tuition-free college courses to Maine Adult Education students.
Adult Education serves to help students transition into college through the Maine College and Career Access program, a program that has been around for almost twenty years. The Early-Access opportunity allows Adult Education students to take a college course with the full support of their adult education team so they can develop the habits, skills and confidence to succeed in college.
Your local Adult Education advisor will work with you to select a course at one of the Community Colleges that is appropriate for your college and career goals, and be there to support you as you complete the course. Kickstart your college career with the support and guidance of your adult education team.
To learn more and see how you can qualify for this opportunity contact the Augusta Adult and Community Education Advisor, Tekia Cox, via email at adulted@augustaschools.org or by phone (207) 626-2470.
