The Volcanoes of Maine

A course on Physical Geography with an emphasis on Maine

This 16 week course looks at natural earth phenomena and where they occur on the Earth, with a special emphasis on Maine. We will examine how and why certain phenomena, like volcanoes and earthquakes, occur in some places and not others. Why does the wind blow more in some places than others? What causes the dead calm of the Doldrums? We will explore the answers to these questions and more.
